March 2025
Hello Friends:
Mud season is here! As winter’s grasp begins to loosen, winds rip through the woods and broken-off tree limbs crash to the ground where in time they will provide a home for insects and fungi. Underfoot, the earth awakens, rich with the scent of damp soil. The pond that spent the last weeks under the sheet of ice has thawed. We are eager to see how its ecosystem will change now that it can hold water (thank you Jason from Riverbend Landscapes). Our native gardens looks strong and we check on our redbuds and pawpaw trees (thank you Judith Robinson, native plants gardener, Our World Our Choices). Feel free to take off your shoes and walk the land when you're here for an event.
We've planned some special spring events for you in March, April and May in addition to our recurring classes and workshops. We hope to see you soon. Bring boots :-)
Please note:
- 2 spots still open for the Salt + Serenity Sound Bath Experience with Ash Shea on Sunday, 3/9.
- 4 representative spots still open for the Family Constellations workshop on Sunday, 3/30 with Marine Selenee. Client spots are sold out.
- By popular demand, Align + Flow yoga class with Debbi Gitterman RYT-500 is offered twice a week now: Wednesdays at 8:30 am and Fridays at 9 am. This is a semi-private class limited to 6 attendees to ensure one-on-one attention; the cost is $30 per class.
- A men's group is in the works starting this spring. If you identify as a man and would like more info, please email Peter.
- Reiki share event is on April 6 by donation. Open to anyone who's interested! Sign up by emailing Maria King.
- Stay tuned for an April date when we will have community salt cave hours by donation; all donations will go to NOFA-NJ. The Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey has supported and advocated for organic farming and local food systems in the Garden State since 1985. From technical support to educational programming and policy advocacy, their work is dynamic, community-focused, and has lasting impacts throughout the entire food system. They have been seriously affected by the recent federal cuts. Please consider donating here or plan to come to one of their events and the salt cave fundraiser!
